# Switch Database

You can change the type of database to be used using PACS Manager.
If "Microsoft SQL Server" has not been installed or its configuration has not been completed, follow the procedures in the link below.

  1. Make sure that the status of DICOMApp is "Stopped".
    If the status of DICOMApp is "Running", click "Stop" to stop SonicDICOM PACS.

  1. Click the "Database" tab.

# How to change to Microsoft SQL Server Compact

  1. Select "Microsoft SQL Server Compact".

  1. Click "Save".

  1. Select "Microsoft SQL Server".

  1. Enter the instance name in "Source".

If you selected the "Default instance" when you installed Microsoft SQL Server, enter "localhost".

  1. Under "Authentication", select the authentication method.
    If you select "SQL Server Authentication", enter relevant "ID" and "Password".
